Welcome, to the home page of Marko Štajgár

Welcome my friend!

I’m Marko and this is my personal website. Within these pages you can discover all ideas, thoughts and things i find interesting enough to share with the world wide web.

About me

I’m a (nixos + 1m) aged student of computer science at the Faculty of Math and Physics of Charles University in Prague, currently also employed as a full stack engineer at Hexagon’s Safety, Infrastructure & Geospatial division on the side.

I like combinatorial game theory, computability theory, computational complexity and all things mathematics & computer science .

I’m also deeply obsessed with Linux & open source. My choice of daily drivers for a long time now has been eighter nixos or archlinux, although I have settled on nix as a base and using arch for the majority of my containers. Inspite of that my servers still run on mainly AlmaLinux. In the case of programming, the languages i like to write in the most are Rust and Haskell. For my scripting needs i like to use Perl.

My other big passions in life that bring me enormous joy are gong-fu cha, literature and playing both computer & board games.

In summary, i like tea, go, rogue likes and fantasy.

Questions, Ideas and Discussions…

I’m open to all questions, ideas and discussions about literaly anything of interest or importance. We might disagree on lots of things, but that in itself isn’t inherently wrong.

Also, I would be very willing to help with any interesting or useful open source projects :)
